Reminder: Yearbook Ads

Reminder: Free & Reduced Meals 

For the last two years, free and reduced meals were provided for all Texas public school children.  Families must complete an application to qualify for free or reduced priced meals. For more information, check out the Coppell ISD Child Nutrition website.  Complete your School Meal Application here.  Allow up to ten days to process your application. 

Reminder: iPads
TCE 5th graders should come to school each day with their iPad and charger. Please ensure your child charges his/her iPad each evening. Your child should also check periodically to ensure his/her iPad's software is up to date (settings --> general --> software update). 

Reminder: Snack
We will have a short snack time each day while we continue to work. 5th graders do not each lunch until 1:00 PM each day, so it's important that they have a healthy and nutritious snack each day to fuel their bodies. We also ask that the snack they bring is completely free of peanuts/tree nuts. This will help provide a safe environment for all learners. Thank you for your help!

Finally, if you came to the meeting, you should have received a parent packet which has valuable information and paperwork to be completed. If you did not come to the meeting, your son/daughter will come home with a packet on Friday. 

All paperwork is due April 6th. 

If you are interested in being a Chaperone for our trip, you may complete this form to share your interest. All Chaperone Interest Forms are due February 23rd. 

Our 1st three Sky Ranch Payment of $50 each have already been due. It's not too late to pay it if you haven't yet. Our last & final payment of $50 is due Friday, March 3rd.

The first few photos are from our "Mixed Up Monday"! The students are getting the opportunity to pick where and who they sit with within the whole fifth grade each Monday. This is a lot of fun and great practice for lunch time during middle school.

5th Grade Valentine's Party 

Our 5th Grade Valentine’s Day party will next Tuesday, February 14th at 2:00 in the cafeteria. We would love to have you join us for the party! The room parents are also looking for volunteers to help run stations. Please sign up here if you’d like to volunteer. Please complete a background check if you plan on volunteering and haven’t done so already.

Please see the note in your email about specifics on passing out Valentines before the party. If children receive any candy with their Valentines, they will not be able to eat any candy until they leave school. 

This year we gave the students a digital coupon book with a coupon for each month of the rest of the year. The students can redeem their January Coupon on Thursday, February 16th. Students are welcome to bring board games or cards from home. We ask that no electronic games come to school- thank you!
