Last Week of School!

Hi TCE Families,

Thank you for taking time to read the blog. We can't believe the last week of school is already here! There are a lot of fun activities happening around Town Center this week, so please make sure to take note of any schedule changes.

Talent Show

There will also be a Talent Show rehearsal on Friday, May 17th, at 1pm in the TCE Cafeteria. The 5th graders will be doing a full run through of the show for K-2nd.

Field Day
Field Day will be Tuesday, May 21st. The students will need to bring a sack lunch that can be disposed of after eating. If they would like to purchase a sack lunch from the cafeteria, please let your homeroom teacher know.

We need a few classroom walkers and 2 wagons for the day. Those classroom walkers will help manage the class, move the wagons full of the kids' bags, remind the kids to drink water and reapply sunscreen, and help run a station your class is at. Please sign up if you want to walk with the class!

Fourth graders will only compete in the "open competition" as there will be no Team Competition for them. There is no cost for this race. ELAR

We have just started our last two writing projects of the year. Learners are writing their End of the Year essays about their Dream Careers. Then, as a culmination of their elementary school years, they will write about what they've learned in Kindergarten-5th grade.

In reading, we are focusing on science-based text to do some cross-curricular review.
Social Studies

As the classes have finished learning about the aftermath of the Civil War, we are slowly moving into Unit 6 titled Economic Changes in the 19th and 20th centuries. We are discovering how the many changes during this time still have an impact on our modern lives today.
