STAAR

  • Learners will be taking the Math STAAR assessment on Tuesday, May 2nd. Please make sure your child gets a good night of sleep and has a healthy breakfast.
  • Learners need to bring a fully charged iPad to school on Tuesday, May 2nd in order to take their Math STAAR test.

Talent Show

**If your child signed up to do a recorded act for the Talent Show, they need to upload it by Monday, May 8th. They will post it on this website. The code is 8d5b814d. *This is new!

Our graduation ceremony will take place on Thursday, May 25th at 1:00 PM. We ask that you arrive by 12:30 so that everyone can be seated and ready for our ceremony to begin. Please RSVP to our 5th Grade Graduation Ceremony here This will help speed up the check-in process once you arrive at school for the ceremony.
Students will be invited to dress up for the ceremony. We would suggest dress pants and a collared shirt and/or dresses or skirts with nicer shoes. If your fifth-grade boy is going to wear a tie, please pre-tie it before you send it to school. They can bring their nice clothes with them to school to change into after picnic lunch (which will be earlier than normal).

Teacher Appreciation Week

Our 5th Graders will do a "last walk" on the last day of school. Parents are invited to come to the school to watch them as they partake in their last walk as an elementary student. You can stand in the front area (near the cafeteria and gym) as our 5th Graders exit the building. If you'd like to come and cheer, we suggest lining up around 12:10, as we plan to start our celebratory walk at 12:15. Students will still need to be officially dismissed by homeroom teachers, so it will be important for them to walk all the way through the breezeway outside to say goodbye to teachers before leaving with parents.

Opt-in Notice for Health Education for K-5 Student

Passed during the 87th (2nd) Legislative Session, Senate Bill 9, requires schools beginning in the 2022-2023 school year to educate students on the prevention of child abuse, family violence, dating violence and human trafficking.  House Bill 1525 does the same for human sexuality.

Before a student may be provided with instruction related to child abuse, family violence, dating violence and human trafficking, Senate Bill 9 requires that Coppell ISD obtain written consent from the student's parent/guardian. House Bill 1525 requires the same concerning human sexuality.

At the elementary level, Coppell’s Student Health Advisory Council (SHAC) approved the Quaver Health curriculum.  It is a digitally based teacher-led resource and meets 100% of the Texas Essential Knowledge Skills (TEKS) for Health.  QuaverEd is providing the following links and lessons in accordance with Texas Education Code 28.004 and pertaining to Senate Bill 9, House Bill 1525. Providing the links and lessons below is not intended to grant permission for the following content to be shared in part or in full in the public domain.

Reminder: iPads
TCE 5th graders should come to school each day with their iPad and charger. Please ensure your child charges his/her iPad each evening. Your child should also check periodically to ensure his/her iPad's software is up to date (settings --> general --> software update).
