Middle School East:

Middle School North:

Students attended Middle School East & North presentations during the school day on Wed. 23rd.

Our fifth grade Sky Ranch field trip has been tentatively booked for April 27-29, 2022. Sky Ranch Camp is located in Van, Texas. Our fifth-grade learners, educators, and chaperones travel there in the spring for three days/two nights for an educational experience that supports our fifth-grade science TEKS. During the trip, the kids participate in outdoor education classes, team building activities, and night activities such as a campfire. It's a fan favorite every year!
Feel free to turn in completed paperwork any time before 4/1.
Sky Ranch Chaperone Volunteer results emails were sent out Thurs. 2/17.

The first payment of $100 was due February 4, 2022.
Please make sure this first payment was submitted and if you need help financially, please reach out to Mrs. Heingartner our Assistant Principal at kheingartner@coppellisd.com

5th Graders & Smart Watches

We have noticed that more and more of our students have been wearing smart watches to school, so we want to take a minute to be clear about expectations for those devices.

Students may wear their smart watches to school, but they may not use them to text, email, or call anyone during the day. (The same rule applies for their iPads.) This includes parents. Please help us in reinforcing this expectation.  If you need to get in touch with your son/daughter during the day, please email your child's teacher or call the front office.

We have talked about these expectations with the students. We've let them know that if they are using their smart watch to communicate, they will receive one warning. After that one warning, they will lose the privilege of wearing their smart watches during the day and will have to keep them in their backpacks.

Thank you for your support!

Ms. Martin, our principal, sends out a weekly parent newsletter. Please make sure you read this every week.

We have recently started Book Clubs in reading class. Each student has been given a book from our campus Literacy Library. The learners are able to bring the books home so that they can read at home, but it's really important that the books come back to school each day. The students will need to return the books at the end of the unit.

In addition, each book club group has a certain number of chapters/pages that need to be read each week. Therefore, the learners may need to do some reading at home.
